Is there a gender gap in business?  When men were polled if they valued the contribution of women in the workplace, 90% of men said yes.  When women were polled if they felt valued in the workplace, 90% of women said no.

There is a gender gap, a gender blindness that contributes to miscommunication and misunderstanding of the basic advantages and special talents that each gender uniquely brings to the table in a business environment.  The average tenure of women in upper level executive positions is 5 years, whereas for men, it is 25 years.  While in the workplace, women often are called to act as men, it goes against their biology and their brain.   The solution is not simply to put more women in leadership, but to teach both men and women how to respect, understand and appreciate our differences.
